B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is a branch of medicine concerned with the study, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and conditions of the oral cavity and associated structures, including their systemic connections. It is an undergraduate course that provides theoretical knowledge and practical learning experience.
The curriculum of BDS is regulated by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Students seeking admission must appear for and qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the year of admission and should have qualified in the Indian NEET exam.
