GENERAL MEDICINE

General Medicine is one of the very important branches of clinical practice and is taught at BDS IIIrd year level. The students acquire knowledge and skills by clinical exposure in cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, endocrinal, metabolic, renal diseases and blood disorders. Department conducts regular lectures, practical’s, tutorials for undergraduate students as per DCI and Pondicherry University norms. 

The students are posted in the hospital to see and study about various emergency and elective procedures. BDS students are made aware of various common diseases their signs and symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. Provides an in-depth knowledge about the medical disorders with dental implications, their diagnosis, treatment and prevention

Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences has a MoU with Indira Gandhi Co-Operative  Hospital, A Unit of Mambaram Co-Operative Hospital Society Ltd No. C 952 which is 350 bedded Super Speciality hospital with most modern and advanced health care services, highly qualified and experienced doctors and well trained and dedicated paramedical staffs to support.

The Hospital Includes all specialities such as Radio diagnosis & CT, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Paediatric, Paediatric Surgery, General Surgery, General Medicine, ENT, Orthopaedics, Diabetology, Chest & Allergy, and  Gynaecology.
