Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics

INTRODUCTION

Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics is a three-year Postgraduate program. This is the only specialty in dentistry that pivots on the alignment of the teeth, the dental arches: the maxilla and the mandible, smile, and TMD cases. This specialty has charted with diagnosis, prevention, interception, correction of malocclusion, and other abnormalities related to orofacial structures. This program provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares qualified graduates for Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopaedic specialists. The postgraduates learn a variety of treatment modalities under the tutoring of experienced teaching faculties. The residents are enrolled in an intensive program of classroom laboratory, research work, and clinical training that leads to a master’s degree and certificate in orthodontics.
