Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

INTRODUCTION

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital is equipped to treat a spectrum of diseases of the face and jaws. This includes extraction of teeth ,surgical removal of impacted tooth, cysts and tumors of jaws. The department has a team of surgeons who are well trained in emergency trauma care and cosmetic facial correction. The undergraduates are given hands on training in minor surgical procedures from an early stage. The department focuses on sterile techniques and excellent peri operative care .The budding dental surgeons are motivated to give evidence based training to ensure best care for adults and children. The vision of our department aims to increase the public awareness and to make our services available to all sectors of the society
